The next conference where the Supreme Court will vote on whether to hear their case to protect Apache religion and sacred Oak Flat is March 21 which means the next time we will likely hear the outcome is March 24.

At the conclusion of the 11th Annual March/Run to Chi Chil Bildagoteel (Oak Flat), Wendsler Nosie, Sr of the Apache Stronghold shared with us —

“I remember the day my Mother walked me out the front door and pointed me towards the Triplets Mountain and said in Apache,

‘Look! Look! That is what is real.

These plants, these animals, this mountain, the earth! That is what is real!

There’s so many things that people are going to say to confuse you. But don’t ever act dumb because your eyes, your smell, your taste tells you this is what God created. Take care of it. This is real!’

Right here at Oak Flat — This is real!

So all you people here at Oak Flat, you are disciples for this place and Mother Earth because this place represents everything else around the world. Don’t be afraid to speak out, to tell the truth. You are seeing here God‘s greatest gift that God gave us back in the beginning. Here you can listen to the Earth talking to you. It is suffering because of us. But if you listen you will know the truth. Tell people. That’s why you are here. It called you. Something calls you to be here and that’s something you need to embrace. You’ve been given a gift. It’s a blessing to us all.

It’s up to you to stand up now, so don’t walk away. It will take you following the spiritual path, not our politicians. You can’t trust our politicians because they are in service to the corporations.

This country is going into chaos and it never was what they said it was.

We are all victims of a predator, the predator of capitalism.

And we have this disease that we pass on of accepting the illusion that this system is good.

We need to tell the truth."
